Employ overseas workers who are already in New Zealand and have a Supplementary Seasonal Employment (SSE) Visa.

RSE visa holders from most countries are allowed to stay in New Zealand for a maximum time of 7 months in any 11-month period.

Horticulture and viticulture employers with RSE status can employ seasonal workers from the nine Pacific nations to work in New Zealand for up to seven months over an 11-month period. For Kiribati and Tuvalu, it is up to nine months over an 11-month period.

Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE)
Horticulture and viticulture employers with RSE status can employ seasonal workers from the nine Pacific nations to work in New Zealand for up to seven months over an 11-month period. For Kiribati and Tuvalu, it is up to nine months over an 11-month period.
RSE participating Pacific countries including Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
The scheme has seen the flow of much needed cash and skills back to workers’ homelands, while New Zealand employers appreciate the benefit of having reliable workers, some of whom continue to return since the inception of the scheme in 2007.
